Thanks to our highly qualified staff, you will make progress in your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. The methods used by our teachers are designed to reinforce your
strengths and improve your weaknesses. You will gain more confidence as you become more fluent through a variety of activities such as role-plays, discussions, group activities, presentations, etc.
Our English classes are creative, dynamic, and are delivered in a friendly atmosphere. On top of our course books, other materials are provided to support your learning experience at Hawthorn (Internet resources, videos, etc.). This will improve your comprehension and practice of the English language.
A placement test is done before enrolling in a course to make sure the student is part of a homogenous group with similar levels, expectations and goals.
Our classes are taught Sunday through Wednesday in the afternoon and in the evening, with 2-hour sessions each. The General English program offered by Hawthorn comprises five cycles (which include two levels each): Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate.
Students on these courses are preparing for study in countries such as Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, and the US or are planning to migrate to an English speaking country where an IELTS score is part of the application process.

Conducted in small groups, these classes will allow you to focus in a better way and receive individualized attention from your instructor.
